Macarons and lillies

When coming back from Sydney after summer school in January/Feb, Jason brought back some Zumbarons for us to try, mint chocolate chip, chocolate, vanilla malt milkshake, vanilla bean, cinnamon donut and lastly mandarin. He also bought an Adrianno Zumbo recipe book from Kinokunya - possibly my favourite place to purchase books. It's a book worm's heaven. Also received some daisies and lillies which slowly opened up over a few days, with the flowers lasting about three weeks. Especially through tough days balancing work and uni, it definitely brightened my mornings and outlook for the rest of the day. Only thing is I didn't have a vase so they sort of just sat in a large bucket on my bedroom floor.

Amelie

For all Perth people, Rooftop movies are a must! Situated atop the Roe Street Carpark in Northbridge is a cinema showing classics, new releases and all time favourites. Movies have ranged from Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Mean Girls, Spritied Away, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Fight Club, Blades of Glory and Anchor Man. There have been far, far more that show and sometimes if particularly popular they are shown again the next season. Rooftop movies run during the end of Spring to the beginning of Autumn or until the weather permits, just don't forget to bring a cushion for the seats as they can get a bit uncomfortable!

Cafe Elixir

Snaps (courtesy of the lovely Iris Bautista) from a High Tea I organised a few weeks ago for Iris, Kate and Annie. You should definitely give Cafe Elixir a visit with your girlfriends. Maybe even take your mothers out for a treat. High Tea is always a good idea and although Cafe Elixir is a little out of the way for some people, there are some closer places to the city. Rochelle Adonis is another beautiful place for High Tea in Mt Lawley as is Koko Black in Claremont. They have vegetarian and vegan options and the service is friendly and welcoming.
